Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, and date of birth (used to confirm you meet the minimum age for the platform). Profile details you choose to add (display name, photo, location, parish, and biography) are optional.
• Content You Create: Discussion-board posts, reflections, private journal entries, and direct messages. Journal entries are private to you.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, studies enrolled in, cohort message board activity. Used to improve the platform.
• Contact Form Submissions: Name, email, and message content. Used solely to respond to your inquiry.
• Communications: Email correspondence is retained.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: operate and improve the platform; manage accounts and cohort enrollment; respond to inquiries; send platform-related communications; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies, Analytics & AI

We use one cookie: the session cookie our authentication provider, Supabase, sets to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar). The usage data described above is recorded internally and does not include your IP address or a browser/device identifier; your IP address is used only in the moment, to enforce rate limits against abuse, and is not stored.

We use AI as an editorial assistant on our own content (drafting and reviewing studies, translations, and Archive material), never as an oracle, and never on what you write. Discussion-board posts, direct messages, journal entries, and other content you create are not sent to any AI provider. See Our Stance on AI for the full commitment.

Data Sharing

Shared only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase: database and authentication
• Daily.co: the live video call built into the platform
• Resend: transactional email
• Cloudflare: website hosting and image storage
• Railway: application hosting

A cohort leader may choose to hold the weekly call on an outside service such as Zoom or Google Meet instead. In that case we share only the link; anything those services collect is governed by their own policies, not this one.

We do not currently process payments and collect no payment or card information.

Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we will do so within 30 days. Contact form submissions are kept for up to 12 months.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may give you further rights over your data. To exercise any of these, write to info@lectiostudies.com and we will respond.

Security

Industry-standard measures including HTTPS and database access controls. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

Age

Accounts may be created at age 13 or older. The social features (cohort discussion boards, messaging, and friend connections) are for adults: you must be 18 or older to take part in them, and we ask for a date of birth in order to apply that limit. We do not knowingly collect information from any child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to info@lectiostudies.com and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

Policy may be updated; “Last Updated” date will be revised. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
