Saint Isaac of Nineveh

Saint Isaac of Nineveh, also called Saint Isaac the Syrian, was a monk and briefly bishop of Nineveh in the Church of the East. His ascetical homilies explore repentance, humility, mercy, solitude, tears, prayer, and the inexhaustible compassion of God. His writings crossed linguistic and ecclesial boundaries and became deeply influential throughout Eastern Christianity.
