Who’s Behind This
Catholic Bible study asks for trust, and trust needs a name attached to it. This page is where we name the people accountable for what Lectio Studies publishes. And, where we don’t yet have a name to give you, we say that plainly instead of leaving the question unanswered.

Editorial Team
Who edits the studies
Every published study on Lectio Studies names a human editor of record on the study itself, and that has been true since August 2026, under the Sacred Translation Standard (Rule 18: “authority comes from accountable scholarship”). There is one editor, named on the study itself, not an anonymous editorial team.
Theological Review
Who checks the content
The honest answer, today: our studies are authored and edited in-house, and we are in the process of adding a reviewer who did not write the material to check each one for doctrinal soundness before it reaches a cohort. When that review happens, we will name the reviewer here, along with what exactly they reviewed and when.

One thing we can say plainly either way: we do not have a diocesan nihil obstat or imprimatur for any study, and a named reviewer is not an ecclesiastical approval. We will not describe either as “pending”: that is not a status. If and when a study receives one, we will say exactly what was granted, by whom, and for which version.
