- Homilies 1-15 of 55, transcribed from the CCEL ThML transcription of NPNF1-11. The mandatory transcription-integrity audit for this sequence was run first, given this volume holds two works (Acts and Romans, matched on their printed div1 titles, never on position) — a probe-walk word-count audit against the dated 1886 scan's OCR (archive.org selectlibraryofn11auguuoft), calibrated with a positive control (a known 700-word excision, confirmed detected before trusting any clean result), plus a structural census of the volume's own printed "Homily N." headings. This volume shows no fusion: all 55 divisions carry sequential printed numbers 1-55 and each closes on its own doxology. Unlike the Matthew and John volumes, Acts prints no numbered subsections at all (confirmed against both the ThML and the dated scan's own page images via OCR) — each homily is transcribed as one chapter whose paragraphs are individually addressable sections, following the same convention already used for on-the-love-of-god-st-bernard-of-clairvaux. Several small (under 500-word) audit flags were traced to a normalization artifact specific to this volume's unusually Greek-heavy critical-apparatus notes (the American editor's manuscript-variant footnotes), not to any real loss of text, and to the standard repeated-doxology chain-jump artifact already catalogued for this method; none reach the ~500-700-word scale the calibration confirmed the instrument reliably detects. The volume's own 1851 and 1889 prefaces record, independently of this build, that the Homilies on Acts survive in an unusually poor state of report ("less carefully reported than usual, and published without a revision by the Author"; the American editor calls the imperfect state of the text "a serious embarrassment... the reports of the discourses are in hopeless confusion" in places) — this is a property of the source Chrysostom's homilies were transmitted in, not a transcription defect this build could or should correct; it is disclosed here rather than silently smoothed over. The work's own text only — the Oxford and American editors' footnotes are not transcribed. This print marks a manuscript lacuna with a standalone "* * *" (occasionally "* *" or a lone "*"), always paired with an editorial endnote explaining the gap; both the lacuna mark and the footnote-call asterisks that punctuate this volume are dropped for the same reason the footnotes themselves are not transcribed — no word is added or changed at these points, only a typographic pointer is removed. Homilies 16-55 remain queued; the QA report has the full per-homily audit ledger.
