- Transcribed from the Internet Archive DjVu XML of IA item TheImmaculateConception, using the scan's own per-word coordinates and paragraph grouping: page furniture (running heads, folios, the printer's signature marks 23*/24*/25*, and Google's watermark) is rejected line by line, and a paragraph is joined across a page break when the first block on the page begins at that page's measured body-left margin rather than at the first-line indent. 8 OCR repairs were applied, every one read off the page image at archive.org/download/TheImmaculateConception/page/n<leaf>_w1600.jpg (leaf = printed page + 6) and each required to match exactly once; they are listed with their reasons in ingestion/works/transcribe-ineffabilis-deus.ts. Printed readings are preserved as printed, including the 1855 compositor's "Immacalate Conception" (p. 286) and "Heavenly Hosst" (p. 291), both confirmed on the page images and against a second independent scan of the same edition (IA ImmaculateConception), which agrees with this one on both. That second scan was also diffed against this transcription word by word; the two witnesses agree to 98.6% before furniture-stripping, and every divergence was resolved against a page image.
