Complete: the Catechism's own Preface plus all four Parts (13, 8, 10, and 17 chapters), 48 chapters and their Questions in full, 979 Questions total. Sourced from a Wycliffe College, Toronto library scan of the same 1852 edition (identified from its own title page, Internet Archive item thecatechismofth00unknuoft), re-pointed here from an earlier, more heavily Google-Books-OCR-degraded scan of a Bavarian State Library copy; the two scans agree in every particular except that this cleaner one recovers 4 further genuine Questions (one in Part II, three in Part III) whose own QUESTION heading was too OCR-corrupted to detect in the older scan, where each was silently absorbed into a neighbouring Question's body instead of lost outright. Buckley's own signed translator's Preface and the front-matter Table of Contents are excluded as editorial apparatus, not the Catechism's own text. Footnote content is excluded structurally (both Buckley's own added commentary and the scripture/patristic proof-citations that accompany it, which share one undifferentiated footnote system in the source); a handful of footnotes written as extended English prose evaded structural detection and are excised by exact, individually-verified patches instead (see the QA report for the count and method; a residual, undetermined number likely remain undetected at this document's scale). No scripture-citation links are mined in this pass. Each Question's short descriptive caption is retained as the opening clause of its section text. Part III's own heading directly opens its Chapter 1 with no separate chapter marker printed in the source itself, a genuine and disclosed structural feature of this edition (see the QA report), not a normalisation. Part IV here follows this edition's own division into seventeen chapters; readers who know the more common nine-chapter numbering will find this edition's Chapters 1 through 9 correspond to that scheme's single opening chapter on prayer in general, with nothing omitted, only grouped differently.
